3 Ideas to Save Money, Your Health and the Environment at Home
My two feelings in life are real estate investing and saving money.
The following makes your inner life more breathable, less toxic, less messy, more cost-effective, more welcoming and "easy to use".
My first suggestion can be applied to a healthy residential home on any building, home, workplace, entertainment, shopping, entertainment, etc. Cleaning: At our speed to be clean, we buy products that contain chemicals, although there is a new trend in the use of "green products" How green these products - Have you thought about the source of components (transport)? What are the containers made of (means of transport)? How was the product made, and how they behaved from garbage or excess material? What happens to garbage / excess materials when removed from a manufacturers' plant? What are the other products produced by this company that sells the "green product"? Do you invest in this direction or are they sincere in their concerns about the environment?
What is the alternative and is still clean? My favorite cleaning technique is STEAM, it cleans everything, I also use baking soda, vinegar, lemon, lemon juice, salt, olive oil and grease elbow. Yes, there are transportation involved, but it is minimized, and this is the goal, to influence the environment as little as possible.
So how does this affect our individual health? In many ways we breathe chemicals, we build these chemicals in our bodies and get to the extent that the effect of these chemicals on our health, we go to the doctor to alleviate health problems, the doctor describes the anti-medication to act our symptoms, and sometimes drugs cause side effects, which means We need more medicine, just because we wanted comfort in our lives. How convenient are cleaning products now? Do not forget the damage caused by dry cleaning.
My second suggestion is to get rid of household items and clothes that are no longer required.
- Barter shops
- Charity foundations
Spring / Autumn Church Exhibition
- Advertising on university or college bulletin boards
- Re-purpose in modern art, or other useful household appliances, you've seen all the old shoes made in plant pots, plastic pop bottles in bird feeders.
Manufacturers caught on the idea that they now produce elements resembling old shoes or pop bottles.
- Garage Sales
- Schools can use your old books, handicrafts, and sports equipment.
- It may be used by neighbors.
Furniture reuse centers
- Reuse of stores (eg Habitat for Humanity, Salvation Army, Red Door).
- Use camping tips
Thirdly, this is my personal favorite, and actually linked to my second proposal, make your own gifts for birthdays, showers, anniversaries, Christmas, Hanukkah, graduation. How does this affect the environment? Save money?
You already have products at home or are easily obtained, you do not have to travel to the store, spend money on environmentally-friendly products (see Proposition 1).
Make your own candy, decorations, modern art, wind comrades, votive candle holders, frame your child for novelty, old wool clothes can be dirty and simulated in another, if you do not know how to wear - learn, or donate to someone who can that. Old woolen garments or blankets can be made into felt material by placing them in dried and dry under "high".
It is much easier these days to save money, "go green" and live healthier and better, with the Internet available for ideas.
